Arsenal started their 2023-24 Premier League season with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners took the lead through Eddie Nketiah in the 26th minute, and Bukayo Saka doubled their advantage in the 32nd minute. Taiwo Awoni pulled one back for Nottingham in the 82nd minute, but it was not enough to prevent Arsenal from taking all three points.

Nketiah opened the scoring with a well-placed finish from inside the box after being set up by Gabriel Martinelli. Saka doubled Arsenal’s lead with a header from close range after a corner from Martinelli.
Awoni pulled one back for Nottingham with a well-taken goal, but it was too little too late for the visitors. Arsenal held on for the win, and they will be looking to build on this performance in their next match against Crystal Palace.
