Nepal Cricket Team Announces Squad for Asia Cup
The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has announced a 17-member squad for the ACC Asia Cup, which will be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka from August 30 to September 17.
Rohit Kumar Paudel captains the team and includes some of Nepal’s most experienced players, such as Kushal Bhurtel, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Asif Sheikh. The squad also features several young players looking to make their mark on the international stage, such as Kushal Malla, Arif Sheikh, and Gulshan Jha.
Nepal, India, and Pakistan are in the Asia Cup Group A. They will play their first match against Pakistan on August 30 in Multan. Nepal will then travel to Sri Lanka to play their second match against India on September 4.
The Asia Cup is a significant tournament for Nepal, who are playing in the competition for the first time. They will be looking to make a big impression and qualify for the Super Four stage of the tournament.
