Real Madrid Sign Kepa Arrizabalaga on Loan

Spanish giants Real Madrid have signed Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan for the 2023-24 season.
The move comes after Real’s first-choice goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, suffered an ACL injury in training last week. Courtois is expected to be out for most of the season, leaving Real needing a replacement.
Kepa, who joined Chelsea in 2018 for a world-record fee of £71.6 million, has struggled to establish himself as the club’s number-one goalkeeper. He has made just 12 starts in the Premier League this season and has been second choice to Edouard Mendy for the past two seasons.

However, Kepa is a talented goalkeeper with a good pedigree. He was the starting goalkeeper for Spain at the 2018 World Cup and has won the Europa League and the Champions League with Chelsea.
He will now get to prove himself at Real Madrid and stake a claim for the number one spot. He will be competing with Andriy Lunin, who is also a talented young goalkeeper.
Kepa’s arrival is a significant boost for Real Madrid, who are looking to win the Champions League for a record-extending 15th time this season. He will provide much-needed experience and competition in the goalkeeping department.
Real Madrid will officially present Kepa on Tuesday afternoon.
