Nepalese PUBG Mobile Team Reaches Asian Games Semis

The Nepalese PUBG Mobile team has made history by reaching the competition’s semi-finals at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. This is Nepal’s first time to advance to the semi-finals of a major esports event.
The team, consisting of Subin Kumar Prajapati, Dipesh Gurung, Sahas Bhandari, and Samir Gurung, finished second in Group C of the elimination round on Friday. They will now compete in a semi-final group against the other top two teams from Groups A, B, and D.
Nepal’s group included Hong Kong, Palestine and Saudi Arabia. In which Hong Kong took the top position.


Hong Kong’s timing was 51 minutes 09.983 seconds, Nepal’s 54 minutes 04.842 seconds, Playstein’s 1 hour 49.527 seconds and Saudi’s 1 hour 3 minutes 45.107 seconds.

South Korea and Thailand from Group ‘A’, hosts China and Chinese Taipei from Group ‘B’ and Japan and Indonesia from Group ‘D’ have secured their place in the semi-finals.

The top 2 from the 4 groups will be the semi-final between the eight teams. The teams that reached the semi-finals will be divided into two groups.
Both the semi-final groups will have the same four teams.

Nepal’s success at the Asian Games is a testament to the growing popularity of esports in the country. The team’s performance has also generated a lot of excitement and interest among Nepali fans.
