“Nepal Gears Up for Kava Volleyball Championship with Memorable Farewell”

NVA and NSC bid farewell to the Nepali Men’s Volleyball Team on Friday for the Kava Men’s Volleyball Championship in Sri Lanka from October 09-15.
Acting Member Secretary of the National Sports Council (Rakhepa), Prakash Kumar Kusari, bid farewell to the team at a program organized at Crown Plaza in Naxal.
“The playing level of Nepali players is high, and I wish them all the best for winning the competition,” Kusari said. “The level of the players has increased, and I am confident they will succeed in the competition. I am eager to welcome the players at the airport.”


Kusari also said that the National Sports Council will try its best to develop Nepal’s national sport of volleyball.
During the farewell program, Han Awing, the head coach of the team, was presented with a certificate of appreciation for his contribution to the improvement of the game level of Nepali volleyball. Awing came to Nepal to train the Nepali team with the help of the International Volleyball Federation.
Nepal will start the tournament by playing against Bangladesh.
Other teams participating in the tournament include Sri Lanka, Mongolia, and Pakistan.
