Bahrain Secures Spot in Semi-Finals Despite Defeat to Kuwait

Bahrain secured a spot in the semi-finals of the ICC Twenty20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers despite a narrow four-wicket defeat to Kuwait in the final match of the group stage.
The match went down to the wire, with Kuwait successfully chasing the target of 159 runs set by Bahrain at the Mulpani Cricket ground. Usman Patel was the star of the show for Kuwait, scoring 64 runs off 34 balls, including six fours and five sixes.

Despite the defeat, Bahrain qualified for the semi-finals based on net run rate. They finished the group stage with a net run rate of minus 0.398, just ahead of Hong Kong’s minus 0.433.
Bahrain will face Oman in one of the two semi-finals on Friday, while Nepal will take on the United Arab Emirates in the other semi-final. The winners of these matches will secure a spot in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
