Lalitpur City FC Clinches Convincing Victory over Butwal Lumbini FC in NSL
Lalitpur City FC emerged triumphant in their match against Butwal Lumbini FC, securing a decisive 2-0 victory in the ongoing Nepal Super League (NSL). Held at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar on Saturday, the match showcased Lalitpur’s strategic gameplay and unwavering determination.
Dinesh Henjan and captain Anant Tamang emerged as the heroes of the match, each contributing a goal to Lalitpur’s success. Henjan’s strike in the 26th minute, set up by Anant Tamang’s precise pass and Papa Kebe’s skilful control, opened the scoring for Lalitpur. Five minutes later, Tamang doubled the lead with a well-placed header off Anil Maharjan’s corner, firmly establishing Lalitpur’s dominance.
Despite Butwal’s spirited attempts to break Lalitpur’s defensive barrier, including Nicholas Sarge Song’s near miss in the 74th minute and Stephan Binong’s free header in the 81st minute, Lalitpur’s defence remained resolute, preserving their clean sheet and securing the victory.
