Pokhara Thunders Spark NSL with Victory over FC Chitwan

In the second season of the Nepal Super League (NSL), Pokhara Thunders flexed their muscles with a heart-stopping 1-0 defeat of FC Chitwan at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar on Saturday.
The decisive moment unfolded in the 72nd minute when Moses Gyabah Twam, exhibiting clinical precision, capitalized on Stephen Kozo’s pass to notch a goal, sealing the much-cherished victory for Pokhara.


Despite earlier endeavours to stamp their authority on the scoreboard, Pokhara encountered a few setbacks. Captain Dinesh Rajbanshi’s goal in the 60th minute was ruled offside, injecting an extra layer of intensity into the match. In the 77th minute, Ayush Ghalan’s thunderous strike was masterfully parried by Chitwan’s goalkeeper, Bishal Shrestha, keeping the scoreline tight.
