In an electrifying start to the Kargil Martyr Suresh Thapa Chhetri Memorial 2nd JCI’s Knockout Football Tournament, Bahundangi Youth Club came out swinging, dominating Kachankawal Football Club 2-0 at the Saraswati Ma.Bi. Ground in Mechinagar-4.
Bahundangi Youth Club didn’t hold back. They seized control of the pitch right from the start, and their authority was rewarded early. Captain Rikki Pradhan made his mark in the 17th minute, unleashing a shot that left the Kachankawal keeper helpless. The momentum firmly stayed with Bahundangi, and by the 29th minute, Shyam Murmu added to the pressure with another goal, firmly establishing his team’s control.
Kachankawal tried to claw their way back into the game, but Bahundangi’s defence held strong. Pradhan’s leadership and skill on the field were undeniable, earning him a well-deserved Player of the Match title, complete with a trophy and an incredible 1500 rupees in his pocket.
