Women’s Football Heats Up : National League Qualifiers Kick Off in Surkhet!
Kathmandu, Nepal (April 16): Get ready for some nail-biting women’s football action! The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has unveiled the National Women’s League Qualifying Tournament schedule, which will kick off on April 19 in Surkhet, Birendranagar.
Seven provincial teams, each boasting a unique blend of seasoned veterans and promising newcomers, will vie for glory in a single round-robin format, playing 21 matches until May 3. The stakes are high, as the top contenders will secure a coveted spot in the prestigious National Women’s League.
The opening match promises an exciting clash between Sudurpaschim Province and Gandaki Province, scheduled for an early 8 AM kick-off. Later that day, all eyes will be on the home team, Karnali Province, as they take on Koshi Province in what promises to be a closely fought encounter.
With the qualifiers set to unfold over the next two weeks, football enthusiasts can look forward to witnessing the best female footballers from across Nepal showcase their skills and vie for a place in the National League.
