Then, after seven minutes of more intense performance, Rowin Harnac’s own goal gave Portugal momentum, which the Portuguese fans cheered. And the tide changed again. Three minutes before the end, the stadium and the Portuguese team felt Diogo Jota’s goal taken back by VAR.

But then, in the match’s dying seconds, a new star emerged on the field! The scorer of the match’s only goal at this crucial moment was none other than the 21-year-old Francisco Conceição.

Cristiano Ronaldo may not have found the net tonight, but his leadership on the pitch was as strong as ever.
