The Netherlands resoundingly booked their ticket for the Euro 2024 quarterfinals with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Romania. The sell-out crowd at Munich’s Allianz Arena on Tuesday added excitement to the match.

The first goal came in the 20th minute when Cody Gakpo rounded a pinpoint pass by young midfielder Xavi Simons to open the scoring for PSV Eindhoven. Not far from the hour mark, the Dutch nearly doubled their advantage as Gakpo found the net once more before intervention from VAR chalked it off for offside.

Malen capitalized on a Gakpo assist in the 83rd minute and then put the icing on the cake deep in injury time. He drove the ball from midfield, combining skill and calmness to finish a solo effort and clinched an easy 3-0 win for Orange.
