Man Bahadur Shrestha Retires from Nepal National Volleyball Team

Kathmandu, October 20: Man Bahadur Shrestha, the captain of Nepal’s men’s national volleyball team, has announced his retirement from international competition. The veteran player made the decision public through social media on Sunday, ending a distinguished career.

Shrestha, who debuted for the national team in 2015, has been a pivotal figure in Nepali volleyball. He has represented the country in numerous international tournaments, including the Central Zone Volleyball Championship, the Kava Nations League, and the Asian Games.

In addition to his indoor volleyball achievements, Shrestha has captained Nepal’s national beach volleyball team, showcasing his versatility and leadership. Domestically, he continues to lead the Tribhuvan Army team.

Shrestha’s retirement marks the end of his national team captaincy, which he assumed last year. He has made significant contributions to the development of Nepali volleyball and will be remembered as a critical figure in the sport’s growth.
