In a dramatic conclusion to Group B of the Om Sai Pathibhara Hospital First Inter-Municipal District Level Football Competition, Jhapa Rural Municipality secured a spot in the knockout stage despite suffering a 1-0 defeat to Kankai in the final group match.

Although Kankai celebrated their first victory in the tournament with Sandeep Rasaili’s winning goal, their two previous losses proved insurmountable. While Kankai bowed out of the league, Jhapa’s two last wins and superior goal difference allowed them to triumph as Group B leader.

Meanwhile, Gauradaha Municipality emerged as the group’s runner-up, defeating Bhadrapur Blazers 3-2 in a thrilling encounter. After trailing 2-0 at halftime, Gauradaha mounted a spirited comeback, with Pasang Lama and Aman Tajpuria’s brace in the second half securing the victory. Tajpuria’s outstanding performance earned him the Player of the Match title.

With the league stage concluded, the highly anticipated knockout matches are now set to begin. 

 The champion will be rewarded handsomely with cash, a trophy, medals, and a certificate. The runner-up, best goalkeeper, coach, top scorer, and budding Player will also receive substantial prizes.
