Arjundhara and Mechinagar Dance Their Way to the Semi-Finals

In a thrilling display of skill and determination, Arjundhara Municipality emerged victorious over Birtamod Municipality, securing a spot in the semi-finals of the First Inter-Municipality District Level Football Tournament. The third quarter-final clash showcased Arjundhara’s dominance as they controlled the game, ultimately securing a 5-0 victory against Birtamod.

Nikhil Tamang emerged as the star player for Arjundhara, showcasing his prowess by scoring in the 19th and 28th minutes. Subaschandra Limbu, Rajesh Dahal, and Pratik Kandangwa also contributed to the team’s impressive scoreline with goals in the 42nd, 47th, and 74th minutes. Notably, Nikhil Tamang’s stellar performance earned him the title of the Player of the match.

Mechinagar Edges Out Gouradaha

Ajay Rajbanshi Scores Two Goals to Secure Victory

In another quarter-final showdown, Mechinagar municipality emerged victorious against Gouradaha Municipality with a 2-1 scoreline, securing their place in the semi-finals. The intense competition saw Ajay Rajbanshi of Mechinagar scoring a crucial goal in the 38th minute, propelling his team into the lead. Although Gouradaha’s Pasang Lama equalized in the 65th minute, Ajay Rajbanshi’s second goal in the 73rd minute sealed Mechinagar’s semi-final berth. Ajay Rajbanshi earned the Player of the Match accolade and was honoured with a cash prize of two thousand and a trophy.

Tournament Prizes

The competition’s champion will receive a cash prize of 3 lakh, along with a trophy, medal, and certificate. The runner-up will be awarded 2 lakh in cash and a trophy, medal, and certification.

Individual achievements will also be recognized, with the Player of the match receiving a cash prize of Rs 2,000. The best goalkeeper, coach, top scorer, and emerging Player will be honoured with a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and a trophy and medal.
