India Storms into SAFF U-19 Women’s Final with Dominant 4-0 Win over Nepal

Dhaka, Bangladesh: The Indian Young Tigresses roared into the SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship final with a clinical display of attacking prowess, thrashing Nepal 4-0 in a pulsating encounter at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Sipahi Mustafa Kamal Stadium on Tuesday.

Neha emerged as the match’s hero, bagging a brace (54th, 80th minute) to spearhead India’s charge. Sulanjana Rahul (89th minute) and Cindy Colney (injury time) added their names to the scoresheet with well-taken goals, ensuring a comprehensive victory for the dominant Indian outfit.

Despite losing against Bangladesh in their previous match, the Indian team displayed remarkable resilience and tactical adaptability to outclass Nepal in the second half. Their attacking intent was evident from the get-go, with Neha creating several early chances before finally breaking the deadlock with a powerful strike in the 54th minute.

India’s win sets up a mouthwatering final clash against Bangladesh, who booked their place in the summit clash with back-to-back victories, including a narrow 1-0 win over India in the group stage. The Young Tigresses will seek revenge for that defeat and a shot at lifting the coveted SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship trophy.
