Nepal Roar Past Palestine, Seal Undefeated Group Win

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: Nepal’s quest for their first-ever WAFF Women’s Championship title gained momentum today as they stormed past Palestine 4-0 to secure Group B supremacy and book their place in the semi-finals. This victory marks the culmination of a dominant group stage campaign for the Himalayan nation, who have not conceded a single goal and notched up a staggering 13 goals in just three matches.

The unstoppable Sabitra Bhandari led the charge and bagged a brace to take her tournament tally to a remarkable eight goals. The experienced campaigner opened the scoring in the 41st minute, showcasing her predatory instincts in the box. Rekha Paudel doubled Nepal’s lead in the 60th minute with a clinical finish, sending the Nepali faithful into a frenzy. Bhandari wasn’t done yet, adding another goal to her name in the 80th minute, effectively putting the game beyond doubt. The icing on the cake came in injury time when defender Geeta Rana converted a penalty, sending shivers down the spines of the Palestinian defence.

Nepal’s performance was a masterclass in attacking football. Their relentless pressure and incisive passing tore apart the Palestinian defence, leaving them with no answers.
