Bagmati Youth Club Crush Sanepa Club in C Division

Satdobato, Lalitpur:  Bagmati Youth Club from Sarlahi stamped their authority on the competition with a convincing 3-1 victory over Sanepa Club in Martyr’s Memorial ‘C’ Division League.

The ANFA Complex in Satdobato was electrified as Bagmati, under the leadership of the dynamic Bimal Ghising, launched into the game. Their offensive prowess was a sight to behold, with Ghising himself scoring a crucial goal in the 31st minute, setting the tone for the match.

Sanepa struggled to contain Bagmati’s relentless pressure. Srijanraj Gautam doubled their lead in the 60th minute, leaving Sanepa with a mountain to climb.

Pemba Dorje Lama offered Sanepa a glimmer of hope with a penalty conversion in the 76th minute, but it proved a mere consolation. Five minutes from time, disaster struck for Sanepa when Amit KC inadvertently turned the ball into his own net, sealing Bagmati’s emphatic win.

Ghising Shines as Bagmati Dominate

Captain Bimal Ghising was the standout performer for Bagmati, leading from the front with a vital goal and a dominant display on the field. Srijanraj Gautam’s midfield control further solidified Bagmati’s dominance.

Sanepa, despite a valiant fightback, was ultimately undone by Bagmati’s superior quality and a touch of misfortune.

The opening day of the C Division League wasn’t a one-sided affair. In the other match played on Friday, Ranibari Sports Club and Mahabir Studies and Athletics Association played a thrilling 1-1 draw, showcasing the competitive spirit that promises to enthral fans throughout the season.
