Maneybhanjyang FC Washes Away Dharan FC in Goal-Fest, Secures Semi-Final Berth

Manebhanjyang FC thoroughly soaked Dharan FC 5-1, securing their spot in the 3rd Adarsha Challenge Cup semi-finals at the BuddhaShanti, Jhapa. This commanding performance sets up an eagerly anticipated clash against the home team, Adarsh Yuva Club, in the next round.

The floodgates opened early for Maneybhanjyang, with Karan Rai firing the first salvo in the 5th minute. Rai wasn’t done there, doubling the lead in the 31st minute with another clinical finish. Manebhanjyang went into halftime with a commanding 2-0 lead, leaving Dharan FC with a mountain to climb.

The second half was the same. Maneybhanjyang continued their relentless attack, with Suraj Rasaili converting an assist from Rai in the 46th minute. The misery continued for Dharan FC as Tushar Biswakarma unleashed a thunderbolt from outside the box in the 55th minute.

Rasaili wasn’t done adding to his personal tally, putting the game to bed in the 67th minute with an excellent finish after going one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Dharan FC did manage a consolation goal through their captain, Tapan Karki, but it was nothing more than a drop in the bucket.

With each match, the excitement is building. The quarterfinal clash between Red Horse Club Ilam and Belbari FC Morang Beach promises to be another thrilling encounter, adding to the anticipation of the tournament.

The stakes are getting higher with every match. The champions will walk away with a hefty cash prize of 2 lakh rupees, while the runners-up will have to settle for 1 lakh rupees, a trophy, and some shiny medals.
