Pakistan A Defeats Nepal by 4 Wickets in Emerging Teams Asia Cup
Colombo, Sri Lanka – Nepal lost to Pakistan A by four wickets in the first ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup match on Friday.
Pakistan A chased down a target of 180 runs with the losses of 6 wickets and 32.5 overs. Mohammad Tayyab Tahir top-scored for Pakistan A with 51 runs off 67 balls, while Kamran Ghulam scored 31 runs and Mohammad Haris scored 9 runs.
For Nepal, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi took 3 wickets for 50 runs in 8.5 overs, while Pawan Saraf took 1 wicket for 15 runs in 5 overs. Kushal Malla also took 1 wicket.
Earlier, Nepal were all out for 179 runs in 37 overs. Sompal Kami top-scored for Nepal ACC with 75 runs off 101 balls, Pratish G. C. scored 26 runs off 24 balls, and Arjun Saud scored 17 runs off 20 balls.
Shahnabaz Dahani was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan A, taking 5 wickets for 38 runs in 10 overs. Mohammad Wasim Jr. also took 4 wickets for 51 runs in 10 overs.
With this win, Pakistan A moved to the top of Group B. Nepal will play its next match against India A on Monday, while Pakistan A will play its next match against UAE A on Wednesday.
